April
29/4/21
The island railways would normally have started operations for the main 2021 season in March, but due to another Covid lockdown this didn't happen.  The first to resume public operations was the Orchid Line at the Curraghs Wildlife Park on Sunday 25th April, with the Groudle Glen Railway due to start on the following Bank Holiday Monday.  I wasn't able to get to the park on the Sunday, but was there on the following Thursday afternoon when 'Alice' was in steam on engineering and test trains.

The first day of public trams on the Manx Electric Railway for the 2021 operating season.  Normally they would have started way back in March, but were delayed due to Covid restrictions. Pictures at various locations between Derby Castle and The Dhoon.

27/5/21
The first day of scheduled passenger services on the Isle of Man Railway for 2021 and the return of No 4 'Loch' to service for the first time since 2015.  The current timetable only runs on a few days a week until the end of July, but it is hoped that it will be extended after travel restrictions to and from the island are relaxed.

On the way home from the IMR I stopped for a few pictures of the Manx Electric Railway.  There were no passenger services operating but a couple of trams were out.
